Sweet, Sour, Salty, and Just a little bit spicy. This Thai Papaya Salad has it all … and then some
How was everyones weekend?
I have to say that mine was filled with a bit of Gluttony and by a little I mean a lot. So this week needs to be a bit more about the salads and maybe less about the Pizza. Seriously though I love Pizza. Why does it have to be so freaking good but so unhealthy at the same time. And yes I do realize that there are healthy pizza options out there but I ordered a pepperoni and I think that is the furthest from healthy pizza as it gets but delicious none the less
Also, I have been realizing how much I am obsessed with popcorn. It is pretty much my favourite late night treat. And no not the bagged popcorn filled with a pound of butter and salt I make it myself and just lightly salted so its not terrible for you … I hope. I eat it all the time
Can you eat too much popcorn? No impossible
Thai salads are my favourite salads and one of the main reasons is because you can make them spicy and I L-O-V-E spicy food so much. Not quite as much as they do in Thailand as I had to find out the hard way aka ordering a Spicy Glass Noodle salad and took one bite and thought that my tongue was going to burn out of my head. I never thought that a salad could cause me that much pain. Well maybe a lightly dressed Kale salad but that would cause me pain in another way
When it comes to this salad it spares no punch on the flavour department. It is so balanced and delicious and well I could just eat this everyday. This Thai Papaya salad really has it all its
- Sweet
- Spicy
- Sour
- Salty
- Mouth Watering
- Healthy
This salad is bold and flavourful and will keep you coming back for more. It is also equally delicious with green mango. If you have never made this dressing before you will come to know exactly how you like it I prefer it more on the sour side so I will tend to add more lime juice and when I feel like an extra kick I will add more chills. In Thailand when they make it for you on the street they will give you a piece to taste to see what seasoning if any you would like added so you can have it just they way you like it, and you should do the same
Well I am going to retire to my room with a bowl of Popcorn, a good movie and a snuggle with my puppy dog
Hope you had a great weekend and no one gets a case of the Mondays tomorrow
Enjoy!
